Description

Yin Yoga supports the body’s connective tissues, such as fascia, ligaments, and tendons. Each pose is held for 2 to 5 minutes, and the use of props such as blankets, blocks, belts, and bolsters is encouraged, allowing for the lengthening and relaxation of these deeper structures. Beyond the physical, the practice serves as a profound mental exercise. As the body settles into stillness, the mind follows, allowing awareness to turn inward. This synchronization of breath and quietude facilitates a shift into the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to balance cortisol levels.
